It was an early start yesterday for the two-hour drive from Auckland through typical winter fog to Hamilton. All worthwhile though, to be part of another very well-organised and well-attended Hamilton Cat Club show.
What a nice show! The Oriental Shorthair Cat Association show yesterday in Kumeu was very well-run and had so many beautiful cats, I really struggled to vote for the Public Choice winner.
Thanks to NZCF and the Patches and Pointed Cat Club for today’s National Cat Show in Tauranga. We also enjoy seeing the beautiful cats, and we were pleased to talk with so many people interested in ways of keeping their cats safely at home. 15 June 2019
Thanks to all the organisers and exhibitors responsible for yesterday’s Nine Lives show at Hamilton Gardens. We enjoyed talking with cat owners about how to keep their pets safe and happy at home.
The final weekend of school holidays drew thousands of people to the Auckland Pet Expo, 13-14 October.
One of the biggest stands at the show was staffed by the Auckland Cat Club who had numerous cats on display – and most of the cats were available for patting, unlike at cat shows where you can look, but not touch!

It’s always a pleasure to be back at the Auckland Cat Club all-breeds show. Despite stormy weather, there was a good turn-out of cats, cat owners and the public yesterday at Western Springs Gardens Community Centre. Congratulations to the winners, and thank you Marie and all the volunteers.
