Returns & Refunds
This Refunds & Returns Policy applies to goods purchased by you from Cat Containment Systems, either through our website (catfence.nz) or through a direct invoice supplied by us.
Nothing in this policy shall modify or exclude the conditions, warranties, undertakings or other legal rights under New Zealand consumer law.
1. Unused Products
(This clause does not apply to defective products, either within warranty or out of warranty. These are covered in clause 3.)
If you wish to return an unused item(s):
1.1. You must first email us at service@catfence.nz within 30 days of receiving the item(s). We will then advise as to whether the product is returnable and notify you of the refund amount.
As a general guide, we recognise that our customers occasionally order more items, such as Oscillot posts or Purrfect Fence arms, than they end up needing “just to be safe”. Where possible, we accept returns of these components.
1.2. The item(s) must be in its original, unused condition, and must be returned with its associated hardware components.
1.3. The product must be properly packaged to avoid damage in transit to us.
1.4. You are responsible for packaging and transport costs.
1.5. The product(s) must be returned to: Cat Containment Systems, 33 Seacliffe Rd, Hillsborough, Auckland 1042.
1.6. A restocking fee of 25% of the net order value will be applied. The “net order value” is the total amount paid for the returned items, excluding taxes, shipping fees, and any discounts or promotional credits applied at purchase. This fee covers administration, inspecting, and restocking costs and will be deducted from your refund.
1.7. We will not refund the original shipping and handling costs paid on the order, nor will we refund credit card fees.
1.8. Your refund will be made to your bank account or credit card (whichever you used to make your purchase) within 7 days of us receiving the returned products. Please note that refunds to a credit card may take an additional few days for the credit card company to process.
2. Change of Mind Returns
We do not accept returns or offer refunds if you change your mind after purchasing and paying for your order.
We may, however, offer a credit to the same value as some or all of your original purchase, which you can apply against future purchases from us.

3. Defective Products
All products sold by us carry a three-year manufacturer’s warranty against defects in workmanship or materials.
We may require that items be returned to us so that we can decide whether to replace or repair the defective item(s) or refund some or all of the purchase price.
We also provide parts for out-of-warranty products.
If you experience any issues with products purchased from us, please contact us as soon as possible.
4. Other terms
We are not liable for any damage caused to our products or to your fence(s) during the installation or removal of the products.
