Thanks to all the organisers and exhibitors of yesterday’s Nine Lives Cat Club show at Hamilton Gardens. We enjoyed attending the show and talking with cat owners about how to keep their pets safe and happy at home.

On 15 June we’ll be at the NZCF National Show in Tauranga.

We’ll be back in Hamilton on 7 July for the Hamilton Cat Club show.

The final weekend of school holidays drew thousands of people to the Auckland Pet Expo at ASB Showgrounds in Greenlane, 13-14 October.

One of the biggest stands at the show was staffed by members of the Auckland Cat Club who had numerous cats on display – and most of the cats were available for patting, unlike at cat shows where you can look, but not touch! The kids loved it, and we saw lots of smiles on the adults too.

At times there were huge queues to meet the cats, and we kept the waiting crowds entertained with our videos of cats trying – unsuccessfully – to escape past the Oscillot cat fence system.

Responsible cat ownership really seems to be catching on. We had dozens of good chats with people who wanted more information about how they could let their cats “roam at home.”

It was an excellent venue too, with lots of natural light (the skylights created some interesting spotlight effects as you can see in the photos below).

Judging at the 2016 All Breeds Cat Show in Hamilton

We’re looking forward to another visit to Hamilton for the Hamilton Cat Club’s 67th All Breeds Show, on Sunday 8 July.

The show will be at Hamilton Gardens, and will be open to the public from 10am to 4pm.

Come and meet some adorable cats and find out how to keep your cat safely at home, using the Oscillot system.

We had a great time at the NZCF National Show in Wellington this past weekend. Thank you to all the organisers, volunteers, judges and exhibitors – and especially to the wonderful cats! Check out some photos from the show below.

We also enjoyed a visit with Richelle and Ken at Neko-Ngeru Cat Adoption Cafe in Petone and thanks to them for helping homeless cats find forever homes.

It’s always a pleasure to be back at the Auckland Cat Club all-breeds show. Despite stormy weather, there was a good turn-out of cats, cat owners and general public yesterday at the Western Springs Gardens Community Centre.

Congratulations to all the winners, and thank you Marie and all the volunteers who produced another very enjoyable day for cat lovers.
