These are the same ground sleeves as supplied with the Purrfect Fence Freestanding System and the Purrfect Perch Outdoor Cat Tree.

Why might you need an additional ground sleeve? Well, here's just one reason: A customer told us she would like to be able to move her Outdoor Cat Tree back and forth between two locations. A second ground sleeve makes that easy.

Get easy access to your cat's area with a Purrfect Fence Heavy-Duty Gate.

A Heavy-Duty Gate can be added to your Purrfect Fence Freestanding Fence System. It uses fence posts on both the hinge and latch sides, with a stabilising header above the gate and heavy-duty hinges/latch.

Designed for everyday use, the tubing on our Heavy-Duty Gate is 35mm diameter powder-coated steel, which is 83% thicker than the tubing on our Light-Duty Gate.

The Heavy-Duty Gate kit relies on the use of one of the post assemblies from your freestanding system installation for either the latch or hinge side of the gate. The main image shows this existing assembly in grey. The gate comes with one additional post (shown in black). If you cannot use one of the existing fence posts at your gate location, you should order an additional post assembly.

The Heavy-Duty Gate is 91cm wide and 183cm tall, and it is designed to be used with our Freestanding Fence System at the maximum standard finished height of 2.13m tall. If you plan to have your fences less than 2.13m tall, then the Heavy-Duty Gate may need to have its height reduced by trimming the vertical tubing components on-site during installation.

An additional post is included with the Heavy-Duty Gate, but not an additional spring-loaded arm since it is not required.

If you are planning to use the HD gate across a concrete path, the path should be no more than 1.0 metres wide, as this is the distance between the ground sleeves for the posts on each side of the gate.

The gate will be covered by the mesh provided in the freestanding fence kit. There is no additional mesh included with the gate.

Light-duty gates can be installed into the mesh of your Purrfect Fence Freestanding Fence System at any convenient location. They do not need to be placed adjacent to a Purrfect Fence post, unless you prefer additional rigidity.

Designed for occasional use, the light duty gate is made of 20mm diameter powder-coated steel.

The light-duty gate is 76cm (30in) wide and 157cm (62in) tall.

The gate will be covered by the mesh provided in the freestanding fence kit. There is no additional mesh included with the gate.

Add a second arm to your Purrfect Fence Freestanding System Standard Post.

Occasionally, you may wish to add a second arm to one of the posts in your Freestanding System. This could occur if:

• You want to ensure cats cannot cross the cat fence in either direction, such as in a cattery where Purrfect Fence is used as a partition (see photo below)
• Your cat area includes an outside corner, which will require 2 arms in order to wrap the mesh around the corner while maintaining adequate overhang

Our arm kits come in two versions. This one includes the couple for attaching the arm to a Standard (35mm) post.

We recommend a 41mm Heavy-Duty Post at corners if the length of one side of the fence is 15m or more (except against structures where the standard post is secured directly to the structure to provide ample support).

If you want to attach a second arm to a Heavy-Duty Post, please refer to this kit.
